I was pleased to find out the AjA Project, a visual-arts organization in San Diego that uses photography-based educational programs to transform the lives of at-risk youth.
AjA offers photography-based educational programs to young people affected by war and displacement, encouraging students to think critically about their identities, develop leadership skills and become agents of personal and social transformation. Since its inception, AjA’s programs have provided a safe environment for 1300 young people to improve their academic and social development.
